Isler - Hamilton
Letitia Michelle Hamilton became the bride of Swindell Isler Jr. April 8 at 4 p.m.
Pastor Aaron L. Jarman officiated at the ceremony at Bear Creek Headquarters.
Jacob and Sharon Hamilton Sr. of Albertson are parents of the bride.
Swindell Sr. and Mary Isler of Goldsboro are parents of the groom.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father and godfather, the bride wore a white strapless satin asymmetrical gown with A-line appliqués and a chapel train.
For her headpiece, she chose a chapel-length veil with beaded accented around the bottom and a tiara. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies and roses.
Cortina Hamilton of Kenansville, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Penny Hamilton of Charlotte, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shequita McKiver of Kinston, godsister of the bride; Watia Best of Goldsboro, LaQuita Faison and Angela Houston of Kenansville and Debra Highsmith of Garner, cousins of the bride; Christina O’Neal of Greenville and Kayla Richard of Goldsboro, nieces of the groom; Malika Isler of Winston-Salem, cousin of the groom; and Ashley Adams of Albertson and Chaka Little of Deep Run, friends of the bride.
Swindell Isler Sr. was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Donald Isler of Goldsboro, brother of the groom; Jacob Hamilton Jr. of Pikeville, brother of the bride; Earnest Richard Jr. and Quintin Isler of Goldsboro, nephews of the groom; Angelo Faircloth of Charlotte, cousin of the bride; Lynwood Dees Jr. of Goldsboro, Terrance Johnson of Greensboro and Victor Isler of Winston-Salem, cousins of the groom; and Durel Ward of Goldsboro and Leonard Williams Jr. of Raleigh, friends of the groom. Ushers were Terry Hamilton of Seven Springs and Wesley Hamilton of Kenansville, cousins of the bride.
Amber Isler and Yasmeen Isler of Zebulon and Victoria Isler of Goldsboro, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. Jonathan Isler Jr. of Zebulon, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Sonya Davis of Albertson, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Sharon Richard of Goldsboro, sister of the groom, and Sarita Bowen of Kenansville, friend of the bride.
Jacqua’ Hamilton of Pikeville, nephew of the bride, was Bible bearer.
Special helpers were Kaneshia Hamilton of Raleigh, cousin of the bride; and Connie McKiver and Sametha Mitchell of Kinston, friends of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Byron Coley, keyboardist, and Clinton Reynolds, drummer.
After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, Va., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of East Duplin School. She is employed as a legal assistant with attorney Charles Gurley.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2003 and McClain’s Barber College of Wilson in 2003. He is employed as a barber with Royall’s Classic Barber Shop.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the dining hall. Shelia Minor of Albertson and Theresa Edwards of Pink Hill, friends of the bride, were servers. Presiding at the gift table was Cassandra Hammonds of Goldsboro, godsister of the bride. Carolyn Assi of Raleigh, cousin of the bride, and Michelle Craig of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom, greeted guests.
Out-of-town guests were from Louisiana.
On April 7, a luau-themed rehearsal dinner was held at Atkinson Chapel.
The matron of honor held a bridal shower March 25 at her home.
On Feb. 25, the bride held a bridal luncheon at Ryan’s.
