Pittman - Moore
PRINCETON — Sophia Elizabeth Moore of Goldsboro and Jeffrey Scott Pittman pledged their promises April 22 at 1 p.m.
Pastor Ferrell Hardison officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Whitley Church.
Wade Hampton and Mary Elizabeth Moore of Pikeville are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Alexander Charles and Ellen Eliza Warren of England and the late Sophia Fedash Moore and Arthur Samuel Moore of Hobbsville.
Parents of the groom are Charles Aristo Jr. and Yvonne Shields Pittman of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Myron Clare and Catherine Hough Shields of Conyers, Ga., and the late Charles Aristo Sr. and Janie Hodges Pittman of Eastman, Ga.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white A-line strapless gown embellished with pearls and beads. The back bodice closed with satin-covered button.
For her headpiece, she chose a cascading veil.
Morgan Teal was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christy Kennedy and Lorie Tillman.
Charles Pittman was his son’s best man. Ushers and groomsmen were Jeremy Wallace Best, friend of the groom, and Brian Tillman, brother-in-law of the groom.
Jamie Teal was flower girl. Ryan Tillman and Daniel Curtis, nephews of the couple, were ring bearers.
Kristen Stovall directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Andy Stovall, sound technician.
After a wedding trip to the beach, the couple is residing in Rosewood.
The bride is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. She is employed as a medical records clerk with Eastern Medical Associates.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School. He is employed with Pittman Construction.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church’s Carpenters house.
On April 17, friends from Eastern Medical held a bridal shower at Texas Steakhouse.
Morgan Teal held a shower April 8 at the home of the couple.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the home of the couple.
