Reed - Stafford
Ashley Anne Stafford became the bride of Joshua Kenneth Reed April 22 at 4 p.m.
Jason Sherman officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Black Jack Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Doug and Sheila Stafford of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Frank and Reba James, the late Malcolm Smith and the late Joseph and Annie Ruth Stafford of Goldsboro.
Jeff and Sherry Reed of Auburn, Mich., are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Petrina Olson of Raleigh, the late Howard Olson of Ludington, Mich., and Richard and Carlene Reed of Bay City, Mich.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin halter gown with a wrap waist. It was adorned with Alencon lace appliqués with silver embroidery, sequins, bugle beads and seed pearls. The back bodice was accented with satin-covered buttons and flowed into a semi-cathedral train.,
For her headpiece, she chose a white illusion two-tiered bead-trimmed elbow-length veil accented with pearls with a rhinestone and pearl tiara. She carried a clutch bouquet of pink roses wrapped in white organza ribbon.
Tiffany Boseman of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Batton and Rosie Todd of Goldsboro, friends of the bride.
Chris Kelly of Raleigh was his nephew’s best man. Alex Johnson of Raleigh, friend of the groom, was the groomsman. Damon Boseman of Goldsboro, brother-in-law of the bride, was the usher.
Lexi Boseman, niece of the bride, was the miniature bride.
Madison Batton of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was flower girl. Maria Boshoff of Raleigh, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Jessica Grant of Goldsboro directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Samantha Boshoff of Raleigh, cousin of the groom. Anna Boshoff of Raleigh, cousin of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Carlton and Renee Hinson.
After a wedding trip to Carolina Beach, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
The bride is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College with an associate’s degree in accounting. She is employed as an accountant with Hedi Moore CPA of Selma.
The groom graduated from Bay City Western High School. He is employed as a maintenance technician with HVM Management Co. of Raleigh.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a barbecue dinner reception in the church fellowship hall.
On April 8, Tiffany Boseman, sister of the bride, held a lingerie shower.
Teresa Corbett, Kelli Corbett, Carolyn Smith, Christine Smith and Doris Davis, aunts and cousins of the bride, held a bridal shower March 11 at the home of Teresa Corbett.
On March 5, Linda Vandiford, Jennifer Smith, Laura Eastman, Lisa Best, Gertha Benton, Edna Crumpler and Brenda Sauls, aunts and cousins of the bride, held a bridal shower at the home of Reba James.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Black Jack Church.
