TaTinesha Jaun´a Whitley and Eric Darnell Johnson exchanged promises Satur-day, Jan. 14, at 4 p.m.
Pastor Roger Taylor officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Lane Tree Country Club.
James LeRoy Laster of Chicago, Ill., and Lillian Whitley Stephenson of Dallas, Texas, are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late James and Arie Whitley of Goldsboro, Alice Hannah Saffold of Chicago, Ill., and the late David LeRoy Laster of Lonoke, Ark.
The groom is the son of Sally Johnson Baldwin of Dallas.
Given in marriage by her father and escorted by her father and her uncle, William Herman Crawford, the bride wore an ivory and rum satin halter gown with a corset bodice and tulle skirt accented with beaded Alencon lace appliques.
For her headpiece, she chose a veil attached to a flower rum crown with Swarovski crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of ivory and pink roses accented with baby’s breath tied with ivory satin ribbon and pearl pins.
Marlo Jackson of Dallas, Texas, was matron of honor. Syreeta Smith of Raleigh, was maid of honor. Birdesmaids were TaKeisha Broadhurst of Goldsboro, and Esperanza Breeze-Love and Karen McDonald of Dallas.
Eddieious Love of Dallas was the best man. Ushers were James Whitley of Goldsboro, uncle of the bride, and Joel Meade of Dallas, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Courtney Crawford of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Donald Rouse of Goldsboro, cousins of the bride, and Maurice Tune of Raleigh.
Torian Taylor of Orlando Fla., and Darryl Lewis Jr. of Goldsboro, cousins of the bride, were junior ushers.
Kayla Britton of Washington D.C., cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Kohl Britton of Washington D.C., cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Belinda Whitley Smith of Goldsboro, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Peggy Whitley Bell of Durham, aunt of the bride. Syrquita Pritchett of Dallas, daughter of the bride, and Jamie Laster of Chicago, sister of the bride, distributed programs.
Tracie Moore of Cheverly, Md., and Shaunta Tune of Goldsboro were special helpers.
A program of wedding music was provided by Reginald Grimes of Goldsboro, pianist and vocalist, and Syreeta Pritchett, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple is residing in Dallas.
The bride attended Goldsboro City Schools. She is a graduate of Skyline High School of Dallas. She received an associates of applied science in business technology. She is employed as a marketing representative with Commercia Bank.
The groom attended Cedar Valley College of Dallas. He received an associates degree in veterinary technology. He is employed as a registered veterinary technician at the Animal Hospital of Rowlett.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Country Club.
Belinda Whitley Smith, aunt of the bride, held a rehearsal dinner at Ryan’s Family Steak House.
