Foss - Wilkins
Kristina Louise Wilkins of LaGrange and Rickey “Rick” Paschall Foss Jr. exchanged promises Jan. 7 at 3 p.m.
Pastor Steve Norris officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Spring Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa Wilkins of Goldsboro and Michael Wilkins Sr. of LaGrange. She is the granddaughter of the late Floyd and Betty Hutchinson and Lee and Sharon Wilkins of Mt. Pleasant, Pa.
Parents of the groom are Beverly Foss and Rickey P. Foss Sr. of LaGrange. He is the grandson of Katie Ellen Mitchell and the late Lee Edward Mitchell of Goldsboro and the late Jack and Hazel P. Foss of LaGrange.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a strapless neckline. The princess line bodice was accented with an asymmetrical waistline embellished with pearls and sequins. The back bodice featured a lace-up corset. The A-line skirt was embroidered and adorned with pearls and sequins and cascaded into a semi-cathedral train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of rhinestones that extended into a two-tiered veil of silk illusion edged with bugle beads and sequins. She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies with wine roses and baby’s breath tied in streamers with love knots.
Becky Hull of Panama City, Fla., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Crystal Shingleton and Samantha Parker of Kinston and Gail Wade of LaGrange, friends of the bride.
Rickey Foss was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were John Weatherford of Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, brother-in-law of the groom; Scott Getsinger of Greenville, cousin of the groom; Brent Wiggins and McKinley Wade of LaGrange, friends of the groom; and Michael Wilkins Jr. of LaGrange, brother of the bride.
Morgan Herring and Paige Herring of Goldsboro, cousins of the groom, were junior bridesmaids.
Leanna Wilkins of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, was flower girl. Kevin Foss of LaGrange, son of the groom, was ring bearer.
Brenda M. Smith of Goldsboro, aunt of the groom, directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Debbie Bailey of Goldsboro, pianist, and Tara Boyette of Pikeville, friend of the couple, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Disney World, Fla., the couple will reside in LaGrange.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of North Lenoir High School. She attends Lenoir Community College for an associate’s degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a preschool teacher at LaGrange United Methodist Church Daycare.
The groom graduated from North Lenoir High School in 1994. He is employed as a heavy equipment operator with Goldsboro Iron and Metal.
Following the ceremony, the groom’s family held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Edna Edwards of Goldsboro, friend of the couple, served the wedding cake.
On Nov. 13, the groom’s aunts and grandmother held a bridal shower at Spring Hill Free Will Baptist.
The bride held a spa party Nov. 12 at her home.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Spring Hill Church fellowship hall.
