Lawlor - Clark
GREENSBORO — Kristen Julie Clark of Kernersville and Bryan Francis Lawlor of Kernersville were married Nov. 12 at 2 p.m.
The Rev. James Ebright officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Lamonte Clark and Kim Gwaltney Clark of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Sue Edgerton Jones and Dennis Jones of Goldsboro, the late Clarence “Bo” Gwaltney of San Antonio, Texas, and the late Thomas and Virginia Singleton Clark of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are Frank and Jo Ann Lawlor of Ocean Township, N.J. He is the grandson of the late Vincent and Angela Losito of Brick, N.J., and Frank and Eileen Lawlor of Middletown, N.J.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory matte satin and organza empire waist gown with a cathedral-length train and hand beading.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara with rhinestones and pearls with an illusion fingertip-length ivory veil. She carried a bouquet of pink roses with Swarovski crystals.
Aimee Clark, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Yates and Kendra Hansford, cousins of the bride, and Marissa Losito, cousin of the groom.
Kevin Lawlor was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Jared Clark, brother of the bride, and Lamarr Anderson and Seth Levin, friends of the groom.
Melissa Losito, cousin and goddaughter of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid.
Jenni Essa directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Michael Clark, uncle of the bride. Michael Losito and Matthew Losito, cousins of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Mary Conelly, organist; Sheila Duell, vocalist; and Zac Lee, trumpeter.
After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple is residing in Kernersville.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School, a 1999 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor of science degree in human development and family studies and a concentration in birth to kindergarten education and a 2004 graduate of Elon University with a master’s degree in special education. She is employed as a special education teacher with Guilford County Schools.
The groom graduated from Ocean Township High School in 1997. HE attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for history. He is employed as a sales manager with Crown Chevrolet Cadillac of High Point.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at O’Henry Hotel of Greensboro. A wedding cake of five alternating layers of lemon chiffon was served.
On Nov. 11, a rehearsal dinner was held at Gate City Chop House of Greensboro.
In October, the bride’s sister held a bridal shower at the home of the bride.
Kendra Hansford, cousin of the bride, held a lingerie shower in October at her home in Raleigh.
Debbie Richtor, cousin of the bride, held a bridal shower at her home in September.
In June, the groom’s mother held a bridal shower at Wharfside Restaurant of Point Pleasant, N.J.
