Getz - Therrell
Laura Therrell of Goldsboro and Robert Allan Getz Jr. of Goldsboro said their promises Nov. 12 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Bill Ordelt officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Parents of the bride are Bill and Ellen K. Therrell of Dudley. She is the granddaughter of the late Milford and Ruth Kornegay, the late Wilma Therrell of Goldsboro and the late Perry Therrell of South Carolina.
Robert A. and Marguerite A. Getz of White Haven, Pa., are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Henry W. and Margaret T. Yeager and the late Adam J. and Anna I. Getz of White Haven.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Bonnie Bucher, friend of the couple, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Sanders, sister of the groom, and Becky Aldrin, friend of the couple.
Karl Bucher was his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were John Sanders, brother-in-law of the groom, and Dale Russell, son of the bride.
David Russell, son of the bride, was ring bearer.
Theresa Pittman, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Mike Nault, organist.
The couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is employed as an instructional assistant at Edgewood School.
The groom graduated from Crestwood High School of Pennsylvania. He is serving in the Air Force stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Seymour Johnson AFB’s Enlisted Club.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
