Pearce - Swisher
DILLON, S.C. — Barbara Jeanne Swisher of Goldsboro became the bride of Michael Glenn Pearce Oct. 15 at 4:15 p.m.
Timmy Grimsley officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Dillon Marriage Chapel.
Parents of the bride are the late Iona Swisher and Paul Swisher of Santa Clarita, Calif. She is the granddaughter of the late Norval B. Sr. and Cithie Stewart and the late George and Cleda Swisher of Canton, Ohio.
Parents of the groom are Leamon and Annie Ruth Pearce of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Helen McCullen, the late Charlie McCullen and the late Les and Mamie Pearce of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her children, Brandy and Ryan, and escorted by the groom, the bride wore a sleeveless white silk dress with a beaded overlay top, a V-back and a slit up to the knees.
For her headpiece, she chose a hairpiece of iridescent fabric and edging gathered and attached to a rhinestone comb. She carried purple and white miniature roses with sprays of pearls and streamers and ribbons of roses.
Judy Brogden, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Brandy Borgersrode, daughter of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Leamon Pearce was his son’s best man. Ushers were Frank Pearce, uncle of the groom, Fred Miller and Brent Overman.
Ryan Swisher, son of the bride, was ring bearer.
Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Elizabeth Pearce, daughter of the groom.
A program of wedding music was provided by Don Johnson, friend of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
