Jennifer Ashley Kincaid and Jon Eric Blake said their vows Saturday, Oct. 15, at 4:30 p.m.
Dr. Glenn Phillips officiated at the double-ring ceremony at First Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Glenda Chagaris and Jimmy Chagaris of Morehead City and Jeff and Tammy Kincaid of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Gerald and Carolyn Layden and Blackie and Jane Kincaid of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are William and Beverly Thompson of Melbourne, Fla., and George Blake of Guam. He is the grandson of Earnest Angle and Elma Angle of Waco, Texas, and the late George and Margaret Belejchak of Rockledge, Fla.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin A-line dress with beading on a cuffed bodice and split back with a cathedral train.
For her headpiece, she chose a two-tiered veil with corded edges attached to a crystal and pearl twisted wire crown with a curved bottom.
Darla Willis of Morehead City, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Marley of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, and Dorothy Debruine, Christine Fitzmorris and Melissa Hill of Goldsboro, friends of the bride.
Rob Fitzmorris of Goldsboro was best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Kincaid of Goldsboro, brother of the bride; Michael Blake of Florida, brother of the groom; and Adam Thompson and Bryan Mayes of Goldsboro.
Kaitlyn Kincaid, sister of the bride, was flower girl. Chance Bryant, friend of the couple, was ring bearer.
Elsie Hooks directed the wedding. Beth Ward and Pat Berkowitz distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Carol Gray, pianist, and Jay and Amber James, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of West Carteret High School and a 1994 graduate of East Carolina with a bachelor of science degree in environmental health. She is employed with Johnston County as an environmental health specialist.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1991 and Lenoir Community College in 1996. He is employed with York International.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. Betty Overby and Annalean Reeves served the wedding cake.David and Debbie Best and Amy and Joey Lancaster greeted guests.
On Oct. 8, Jane Kincaid, grandmother of the bride, and Debbie Best, aunt of the bride, held a bridal luncheon.
A bachelor and bachelorette weekend was held in Myrtle Beach the last weekend of September.
On Sept. 11, Pat and Ann Marie Foster held a bridal shower in Morehead City.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Overby held a dinner Sept. 10.
On Aug. 27, Annalean Reeves held a bridal shower at her home.
Dorothy Debruine and Melissa Hill held a lingerie shower Aug. 20 at the Hill home.
