Jodie Renee Scott and Christopher Shane Smith pledged their wedding vows Sept. 24 at 2 p.m.
Pastor Jim Whitfield officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Parents of the bride are A.L. and Hazel Scott of Goldsboro.
Jennings Smith and Kenneth and Janice Myers of Goldsboro are parents of the groom.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Savannah Head, daughter of the bride, and Ashley Smith, daughter of the groom, were maids of honor.
Chad Smith was his father’s best man. Ushers were Marion Oxendine and Robby Martin.
DeAnna Head, daughter of the bride, was flower girl.
Regenia Whitfield directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Delbra Sauls.
Special helpers were Terri Barbato and Tracy Martin.
A program of wedding music was provided by Gene Smith, pianist, and Luke Forehand, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1981. He is employed as general manager of Jennings Transmission.
Following the ceremony, Donna Forehand and Gloria Johnson held a reception in the church fellowship hall.
The groom’s mother held a rehearsal dinner.
