Brock - Franklin
GREENVILLE — Sarah Franklin of Greenville became the wife of Greg Brock of Mount Olive on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m.
U.S. Navy Chaplain John V. Franklin, father of the bride, officiated at the double-ring ceremony in Lake Glenwood.
John V. and Melanie Franklin of Virginia Beach, Va., are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Gloria C. Robertson of Fort Worth, Texas, the late Floyd L. Robertson and Dr. John H. and Sarah E. Franklin of Maryville, Tenn.
Parents of the groom are Danny and Lynette Brock of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Myrtlee Brock of Grantham, the late Perry Brock and the late Taft and Lou Pearl Grady of Pricetown.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a long, strapless, matte satin A-line gown with beaded trim. Covered buttons extended down the center of the chapel-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a veil was trimmed in satin attached to a crystal and silver tiara. She carried a bouquet of Gerber daisies in assorted colors.
Carie Lamson, sister of the bride was matron of honor.
Danny Brock was his son’s best man.
A program of wedding music was provided by Ernie Lane.
The couple is residing in Greenville.
The bride is a graduate of White Oak High School of Jacksonville and East Carolina University with a BSBA in accounting. She is employed as a property manager with Pickering and Co.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School and East Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree in management. He is employed by T.A. Loving Construction Co.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Treybrooke Clubhouse of Greenville.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at A.J. McMurphy’s restaurant of Greenville.
