Horton - Hawes
WILMINGTON — Kathryn Bryan Hawes of Myrtle Beach, S.C., became the wife of Timothy Dale Horton Aug. 6 at 5:30 p.m.
The Rev. Ken Hardin and the Rev. Horace Hawes officiated at the double-ring ceremony at First Baptist Church. The bride’s father performed an official ceremony at 2 p.m. at New Hanover Regional Hospital.
Horace and Mary Hawes of Wilmington are parents of the bride.
Wallace and Ramona Horton of Mount Olive are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of David and Madeline Gardner of Pinetops and Archie and Edna Horton of Macclesfield.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Jennifer Clark was matron of honor. Marcy Cunningham was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Brown, Denise Whipple, Dana Horton and Leah Horton.
Wallace Horton was best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Faucette, Mike Willis, Daniel Smith, Kevin Bell, Jeremy Jeffers, Nate Cook and Justyn Putnam.
Karley Whipple was flower girl. Dakota and Noah Whipple were ring bearers.
Presiding at the register was Angela Keller. Vanessa Willis and Julie Pitts distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Donna Lay, pianist; Doris Johnson, organist; and English Nagy and Chris Nalls, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Charleston, S.C.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. She went on a two-year mission to West Africa. She is employed in sales at St. Andrews Fitness.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering. He went on three short-term missions to Africa. He is employed as an engineer with Caterpillar.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Bellamy Mansion.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Roy’s Riverboat Landing in Wilmington waterfront.
