Bisbee - Yelverton
Diana Edwards Yelverton of Raleigh became the bride of James Phillip Bisbee of Raleigh July 23 at 3 p.m.
Rick Ward officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Saulston United Methodist Church.
The late John Edwards and Patricia Bandy Yelverton are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Joseph Robert and Hazel Bandy of Goldsboro and the late John I. and Reba Yelverton.
The groom is the son of Olivia Ann Bisbee of Fremont. He is the grandson of John and Joyce Flowers of Pikeville and John Norris of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her grandparents and escorted by her grandfather, the bride wore an off-the-shoulder cap sleeve sheath with a beaded lace bodice, skirt and train.
For her headpiece, she chose a short veil with a beaded edge. She carried a nosegay of red roses and red tulips with Italian ruscus.
Lezlie Sugg was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Channing Bogue, Christy Hill and Ashley Nelms.
John Flowers was best man. Ushers were Jarrod Gouty and Donnie Barnes. Groomsmen were Michael Gardner, Chad Weaver and Ryan Tyndall.
Callie Bandy and Madison Tyndall were flower girls.
Angie Sugg directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jordan Bisbee. Christopher Bandy distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Chester Davis and Sylvia Overman, pianists; Ashley Nelms, vocalist; and Chester Davis, guitarist.
After a wedding trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C., the couple is residing in Raleigh.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She attends North Carolina State University.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1996. He is employed as a truck driver for Roma Foods of Durham.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Goldsboro Country Club.
On July 22, a pig picking rehearsal dinner was held in Pikeville.
Connie Bandy, Christine Bandy and Beth Whitfield held a bridal luncheon July 22 at the home of the bride’s grandmother.
On June 26, United Methodist Women of Fremont United Methodist Church held a bridal shower.
Lezlie and Angie Sugg held a bridal shower April 30 at the home of the bride.
