Hill - Long
MOUNT OLIVE — Brooke Ann Long and Michael Jay Hill of Mount Olive exchanged promises July 9 at 8 p.m.
The Rev. Steven Wicks officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Holmes.
The bride is the daughter of George and Cindy Long of Dunn. She is the granddaughter of Romayne Stofila and the late Donald Daubert of Dallas, Pa., and the late Joy Long and the late Norris Long of Orange City, Fla.
Carol Week of Mount Olive and Mike Hill of Fuquay-Varina are parents of the groom. He is the stepson of Carlton Weeks of Mount Olive and the grandson of the late Marvin and Margaret Joyner of Elm City, the late William Hill of Rocky Mount and Maylon and Betty Weeks of Mount Olive.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Brandy Long, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Constance Newell, Tracy Hartman, Joy Herring, Laurie Hill and Stephanie Banos.
Chad Weeks was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Jonathon Nowell, J.D. Hartman, Jason Arnau, John Arnau and Brandon Boothe.
Matthew and Corey Ammons were junior groomsmen.
Jacy Hartman was flower girl. Nathan Hill was ring bearer.
Amanda Adams directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Krystal Phelps and Tamara Mabry.
A program of wedding music was provided by Matthew Ammons and Eddie Miller, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple is residing in Erwin.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Triton High School. She is employed as a lighting specialist with Lighting by Stephens of Fuquay-Varina.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1998 and Cape Fear Community College in 2001. He is employed as a CADD technician with Stroud, Pence and Associates of Raleigh.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Southern Wayne Country Club.
Carlton and Carol Weeks held a rehearsal dinner at the Steak Barn.
