Greenfield - Leach
Toketa Renea Leach and Demone Marti Greenfield pledged their promises June 18 at 1 p.m.
Eldress Doris Langston officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Greater Saint John Free Will Baptist Church.
Jimmy Leach of Faison and the late Minister Ella Carraway Leach are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mary Leach of Clinton.
The groom is the son of Alberta Greenfield of Mount Olive and the late Deacon Thomas Greenfield.
Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a long-sleeved sheath formal gown with a drop waist of chiffon adorned with Venice lace, bugle beads, sea beads and Swarovski crystals. The back flowed into a cocktail train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of crystal and rhinestone with an elbow-length veil trimmed in satin. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Wilhelminia Mack of Fort Washington, Md., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Jones of Goldsboro, Pamela Evans of Ausbach, Germany, Latwanna Faison of Dudley, cousin of the bride, and Christa Leach and Julanda Leach of LaGrange, sisters of the bride.
Steven Greenfield of Harrisburg, Pa., was best man. Ushers were Rodney Hagans of northern Virginia and Charlie Hagans of Rocky Mount, uncles of the groom. Groomsmen were Donnell Leach of Dudley, uncle of the bride; James Gaines and John Gaines of Goldsboro; Shon Greenfield of Dudley, cousin of the groom; and Thomas Greenfield Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Pa., brother of the groom.
Tia Ashby and Anaiya Evans were flower girls. Thurman Sheppard III was ring bearer.
Thelma Davis was the hostess.
Larkeysha Sheppard, sister of the groom, directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Thurman Sheppard Jr., brother-in-law of the groom, and the bride, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple is residing in LaGrange.
The bride is a 1992 graduate of Goldsboro High School. She attends Thomson Education Direct of Pennsylvania for a degree in professional secretary studies. She is founder of Greenfield Island Resort Vacations and is employed in real estate investing.
The groom graduated from Earl C. Clements Trade School of Kentucky in 1993 with a certificate in electrical. He attended Durham Technical Institute majoring in business. He is founder of Greenfield Island Resort Vacations and is employed in real estate investing.
Following the ceremony, the couple’s family held a reception at Best Western.
On June 11, co-workers of the bide held a shower at Goody’s Family Clothing Store.
The groom’s mother held a bridal shower June 10 at Fletcher’s.
