Boyd - Lewis
WILMINGTON — Stacy Carol Lewis of Wilmington and Ronald Lee. Boyd Jr. were united in holy matrimony June 25 at 6 p.m.
The Rev. Michael Lewis officiated at the double-ring outdoor ceremony at Scotts Hill waterway.
The bride is the daughter of James A. and Carol Smith Lewis of Castle Hayne. She is the granddaughter of the late Daisy Smith Gooding, Doris Jackson Lewis and the late George Harold Lewis of Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of Ronald Lee and Kathy Boyd of Wilmington. He is the grandson of Susan Haddock, the late Amos Haddock and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Boyd of Wilmington.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory satin with a strapless sweetheart neckline trimmed with Austrian crystals, sequins, bugle beads and seed pearls. The back bodice had a V-back accented with hand-beaded buttons. The A-line skirt cascaded into a semi-cathedral train beaded at the hemline.
Heather Eatmon, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were April Hall, Jessica Walter, Helen Harriss, Amy Ball and Kristi Ramsburg of Wilmington.
Ronald Lee Boyd was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Lee Hall, Kenny Boyd, Tim Osborne and Brian Boyd of Wilmington.
Lynn Johnson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Kara Hale.
A program of wedding music was provided by Bradley Collier, cousin of the bride, pianist, and Thomas Roy and Harry McLamb, trumpeters.
After a wedding trip to Turks and Caicos, the couple is residing in Scotts Hill.
The bride is a graduate of Laney High School and South Carolina School of Dog Grooming. She is employed as a dog groomer, boarder and owner of A Dog’s Day Dog Grooming.
The groom graduated from Topsail High School. He is employed as a contractor with R&B Enterprises Inc.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner and dance reception at the Intracoastal Waterway.
On June 24, a bridesmaids’ luncheon was held at Bluewater Grill of Wrightsville Beach.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 24 at Scotts Hill waterway.
Friends and family held a bridal shower April 9 at the home of April Hall.
The bridesmaids held a lingerie shower.
