Pearce - White
Teresa Gail White and Leamon Leslie Pearce exchanged their wedding vows Saturday, June 25, at 4 p.m.
Bill Rose officiated at the double-ring ceremony at First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Yong White of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Bernice White of West Virginia.
Parents of the groom are Lester and Donna Pearce and Caperse and Cathy Edgerton of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Leamon and Annie Ruth Pearce and the late Bobby Patterson of Goldsboro and the great-grandson of Helen McCullen, the late Charlie McCullen and the late Leslie and Mamie Pearce of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory silver matte satin strapless gown. The bodice featured an asymmetrical beaded pattern with embroidery that flowed to the princess waistline. The back continued the asymmetrical beaded with a chapel-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a bandeau of crystal flowers accented with rhinestones with a one-tiered semi-cathedral-length veil with pencil edging. She carried a bouquet of Anna white roses and miniature ivy.
Jessica Metz of Wilmington, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Beth Toler of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashlee Pearce, sister of the groom, and Allison Wilson and Jennifer Wilson of Goldsboro, friends of the bride.
Lester Pearce was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Matt Brogden and Joseph Pearce of Goldsboro, cousins of the groom; Chris Hargrove of Goldsboro, friend of the groom; and Charlie Kennedy of Goldsboro, brother of the groom.
Judy Brogden, aunt of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jessica Kennedy of Goldsboro, sister of the groom. Kaitlyn Bell of Smithfield, cousin of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Luke Forehand of Goldsboro, guitarist and vocalist, and Carolyn Castania of Fremont, pianist and vocalist.
After a wedding cruise to Key West and the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She attended Wayne Community College.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1998. He is employed as a floor mechanic for Hardwood Man Inc. of Angier.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Sylvia Pearce and Kay Pearce of Smithfield served the wedding cake. Donna Pearce of Goldsboro poured punch.
On June 24, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
Jessica Metz held a miscellaneous shower June 15 at her home.
Donna Pearce, Annie Ruth Pearce and Judy Brogden held a bridal shower May 15 at Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church.
