Henderson - Myers
HIGH POINT — Alisa Carol Myers and Michael Shannon Henderson of High Point were wed June 25 at 7 p.m.
Dr. Brooks Lindsay Hunt officiated at the ceremony at Abbotts Creek Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Evan and Carol Myers of Winston-Salem. She is the granddaughter of Leroy Byerly and Thelma Myers of Lexington and the late Carrie Byerly and P.G. Myers.
The groom is the son of Emmett and Cathy Redmon of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Lois Barwick of Dudley, Mary Louise Redmon of Mount Olive, Mary Ruth Harrell of Goldsboro and the late Harvey Barwick.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Abby Lauren Davis of Raleigh was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Dabbs Hale of Archdale, Jennifer Barnes Causey of Lexington and Sarah Gray Sassar and Erin Grace Cline of High Point.
Emmett Draughn Redmon was best man. Groomsmen were Ian Phillip Redmon of Greensboro, brother of the groom; James Freeman of Winston-Salem; Michael Peter George of Greenville; Charles Evan Myers of Winston-Salem, brother of the bride; and Theodore Edward Landis Jr. of Lexington.
Carrie Lee Barnes of Lexington was the miniature bride. Ross Edwin Causey of Lexington was the miniature groom.
Nancy Elizabeth Ward of Winston-Salem and Raegan Dale Causey of Lexington were flower girls. Brandon Kyle Leonard of Lexington was ring bearer.
Children attendants were Carson McRae Burleson of High Point, Katherine Brooke Grimes of Goldsboro and Heather Leigh Nance of Lexington.
Presiding at the register was Sandra Elders Leonard of Lexington.
After a wedding cruise to Key West, Fla., and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple will reside in High Point.
The bride is a graduate of Ledford High School and a magna cum laude graduate of High Point University with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Davis-Townsend Elementary with Davidson County Schools.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School and East Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree. He is employed as an eighth grade teacher and coach at Ledford Middle School with Davidson County Schools.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at 12 West Main of Thomasville.
On June 25, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner and dance at 12 West Main.
The bride’s mother held a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 18 at Miss Ruby’s Tea Room of Lexington.
On June 4, Susan Grimes, aunt of the groom, held a tool and garden shower in LaGrange.
The bride’s kindergarten class and Sandra Leonard, class assistant, held a shower May 16.
On May 7, Jennifer Causey and Sandra Leonard held a lingerie shower at Darryl’s of Greensboro.
The Davis-Townsend Elementary kindergarten staff held a shower April 27.
On April 24, Cathy Byerly, aunt of the bride, Kelly Hale and Stephanie Ward held a shower at Abbotts Creek Baptist Church.
