WHEATON, Md. — Jessica West Kerr of Bethesda, Md., became the bride of Bret Patton Dean of Bethesda April 16 at 5 p.m.
The Rev. Lance Orndorff officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Brookside Gardens.
Parents of the bride are David and Debby Kerr of Rockville, Md. She is the granddaughter of Marian Kerr of Ft. Myers, Fla.
Parents of the groom are Winston and Caroline Dean of Rockville. He is the grandson of Lucille Dean of Monroe and Perry and Vicky Patton of LaGrange.
Given in marriage and escorted by her parents, the bride wore a strapless cymbeline candlelight formal gown with an A-line skirt and a chapel-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a mid-back-length veil. She carried a bouquet of daisies and lilies of pink.
Rebecca Kerr Forrester, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Debby Chapman, cousin of the bride; Esther Cornfeld; and Betsey Dean, sister of the groom.
Marc Einhorn was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Crichton, Andrew Mychajliw and Dylan Trache.
Laura Hagy and Terra Zvara were readers.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in Bethesda.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in education. She is employed as a grants management specialist with the National Cancer Institute.
The groom graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He is employed as an auditor with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Brookside Gardens.
On April 15, a rehearsal dinner was held at Buca di Beppo of Gaithersburg, Md.
The bridesmaids held a bridal shower Feb. 19.
