COVE CITY — Tracy Anne McCoy became the wife of Steven Ray Mayo April 30 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Craig Simmons officiated at the double-ring ceremony at A Day At The Farm.
Parents of the bride are Scott and Shearin McCoy of Cove City. She is the granddaughter of Edith McCoy and the late Woodrow McCoy of Cove City and the late Edward and Lucy Stroud of Kinston.
Ray and Janice Mayo of Pikeville are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late James and Madie Mayo of Nahunta and Levi and Ruby Stump of Mar Mac.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory dress with champagne trim. The back had a satin champagne ribbon laced up in back that formed a loose bow. It had a simple train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara with pearls and crystals with a shoulder-length veil of ivory with champagne trim with pearls and crystals.
Amy McCoy of Alpharetta, Ga., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Karen Mayo of Chapel Hill, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid.
Ray Mayo was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Warren Caruso of Seven Springs and Dee Sasser of Goldsboro, friends of the groom.
Hannah Smith of Trenton was flower girl.
Cynthia Hansley directed the wedding, assisted by Michelle Tripp. Presiding at the register was Kelly Brinson. Jackie Simmons distributed programs.
The Rev. Rick Mondell was the reader.
A program of wedding music was provided by Scott Bircher and Dr. David Hines, vocalists, and Jack and Julia Bircher.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Pikeville.
The bride is a graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy of Kinston and Mount Olive College. She is employed by Carolina Choice as a therapeutic consultant.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and Wayne Community College. He is employed as operations manager at North Carolina Manufacturing.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the farm pack house. The Rev. David Charles and Sylvia Hansley greeted guests. Regina Sasser and Megumi Caruso were reception assistants.
On April 29, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Flame Restaurant of New Bern.
Cynthia and Sylvia Hansley held a bridal breakfast April 29 at Caraway’s of Frenchman’s Creek.
April 22 through 24, a bachelor weekend was held in Wilmington.
Doris Smith and Kelly Brinson held a spa/girls’ weekend April 16 and 17 in Greenville.
On April 14, Candy Maestretti held a shower at Sheraton of New Bern.
The groom’s mother and sister held a miscellaneous floating shower April 9.
On April 3, the woman’s auxiliary held a miscellaneous shower at Core Creek Free Will Baptist church.
Michelle Tripp, Melissa Barnett and Julia Bircher held a cookout March 12 at A Day At The Farm.
