Rhodes - Holland
RALEIGH — Paula Gail Holland of Garner and Robby Lynn Rhodes said their marriage vows Nov. 20 at 3 p.m.
Joe Brothers officiated at he double-ring ceremony at Midway Baptist Church Sorrell banquet hall.
Parents of the bride are George Rand and Donna Morris Holland of Fremont. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Bagley Morris Sr. of Fremont and the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron H. Holland of Kenly.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ernest Presley and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ryan Rhodes of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Truelove of Raleigh and the late Wilbur Rhodes and Annie Rhodes of Fuquay-Varina.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin gown with a strapless beaded lace corset bodice and a cathedral-length train appliquéd with cutout beaded lace.
For her headpiece, she chose a two-piece veil. She carried a bouquet of six white callas and a cluster of white roses accented with ruscus.
Misty Holland Coerver was matron of honor.
Jack Ryan Rhodes Jr. was best man. Ushers were Jack Ryan Rhodes Sr. and Richard Ernest Presley. Austin Robert Coerver was the groomsman.
Cassidy Randean Coerver was flower girl.
Jo Prince directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Holland.
Special helpers were Glenda Massengill, Karen Tidwell, Mary Alice Arvin, Barbara Pope and Rick Busse.
A program of wedding music was provided by Sue Crittenden, pianist, and Kim Thomas, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to the Tennessee mountains, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
The bride is employed as a storekeeper and field buyer with Progress Energy.
The groom is owner and operator of Robby’s Tree service.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church.
On Nov. 7, the Glenda Massengill Sunday school class held a floating miscellaneous shower at the church.
Donna Holland, Misty Coerver, Teresa Holland and Donna Archer, friends and family, held a floating miscellaneous shower Sept. 19 at Union Grove Church fellowship hall.
A rehearsal dinner was held a Lane’s Steak and Seafood of Benson.
