Barbato - Wilkerson
Jessica Vail Wilkerson became the wife of Joshua Caleb Nicholas Barbato Oct. 16 at noon.
The Rev. Jim Whitfield and the Rev. Bob Forehand officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the home of Almeta Forehand.
Michael Ray and Darlene Vail Wilkerson of Pikeville are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Clem and Inez Gray, Jimmy Vail, the late Bill Wilkerson and Janice Wilkerson of Goldsboro and the stepgranddaughter of Norma Wilkerson.
Parents of the groom are Richard Michael II and Terry Forehand Barbato of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Loyd Forehand and Almeta Forehand of Goldsboro, Donnie and Shirley Ellithorpe of Syracuse, N.Y., and the late Richard Michael Barbato I.
Given in marriage and escorted by her parents, the bride wore a gown with beaded lace on an illusion netting neckline and cap sleeves. The back had an overlapping low neckline in illusion netting with lace. A matching floral design of beaded lace was on the hem and chapel train.
For her headpiece, she chose a veil trimmed in satin. She carries daisies and roses.
Rebecca Wilkerson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were April Vail, Jennifer McDonough and Elizabeth Barbato.
Richard Michael Barbato II was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Barbato III, Ryan Barbato, Zachary Wall, Jonathan Gaddis and Matthew Bartlett.
Hailey Anna Barbato was flower girl. Carson Barbato was ring bearer.
Special helpers were Kim Wall, Shelia Talton, Pam Hill, Kim Johnson, Melinda Spiron, Jan Spangler, Donnie Wilkerson, David Wilkerson, Keith Vail and Denise Barley.
Debbie Ross directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Phaedra Medus.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Nahunta Community Center.
The bride’s sister held a shower at the home of the groom.
Aunts of the groom held a shower at the home of Almeta Forehand.
Co-workers of the bride held a shower at Wayne Christian School.
The bride’s aunt and grandmother held a shower at the home of Inez Gray.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the home of Almeta Forehand.
