Cox - Froehlich
Pamela Catherine Froehlich of Goldsboro became the bride of Randy Eugene Cox on Sept. 25 at 3 p.m.
The Rev. Ron Varner officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Falling Creek Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Froehlich. She is the granddaughter of Irene Jackson of Newton Grove.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cox of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Rachel Cox of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory matte sheath gown with a sheer beaded neckline and back. It had a pleated back and a trumpet skirt with a chapel-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose beaded pearls and crystals. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of Anna roses.
Wanda West of Goldsboro was maid of honor.
Eugene Cox was best man. Ushers were John Froehlich of Goldsboro, brother of the bride; Russ Cox of Princeton, brother of the groom; and Jonathan Gurley and Ashton Cox of Grantham, cousins of the groom.
Samantha Froehlich, niece of the bride, and Charley Cox, niece of the groom, were flower girls. Hinton Cox, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Vivian Hall of Smithfield directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register were Barry and Constance Kornegay of Goldsboro. Crystal Gurley of Grantham distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Edythe Blanton of Dudley, organist, and Scott Boyette of Princeton, vocalist.
After a wedding cruise to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
The bride attended Wayne Community College. She is employed with the North Carolina Department of Revenue in Greenville.
The groom graduated from Durham Community College with an associate degree in applied science of opticianary. He is co-owner of Eye 1 Optical.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Hostesses were Virginia Weeks and Ann Moore of Goldsboro and Debbie Jackson of Newton Grove. Debbie Jackson, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake. Brenda Gurley and Karen Cox of Grantham, aunts of the groom, poured punch. Tony and Theresa Coley of Grantham greeted guests.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Sept. 24 in the church fellowship hall.
On Sept. 18, family and friends held a bridal luncheon at Billie’s on the Green.
Friends of the family held a dinner party Sept. 17 at the Steak Barn.
On Sept. 11, Constance Kornegay and Donna Bryan held a bachelorette party in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Friends of the groom held a bachelor party Sept. 11 in Myrtle Beach.
On Aug. 21, friends of the couple held a home and garden/pool party.
The Homemakers Sunday School Class held a bridal shower Aug. 15 at Falling Creek Church.
On Aug. 7, the groom’s family held a luau at the home of Russ and Christy Cox of Princeton.
