Thompson-Stoddard
FAYETTEVILLE — Lisa Dawn Stoddard of Portland, Ore., and Darren Jerone Thompson of Goldsboro exchanged promises July 3 at 3:30 p.m.
The Rev. Christopher Aydlett officiated at the double-ring ceremony at St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
Parents of the bride are Don and Nancy Stoddard of Tualatin, Ore.
Parents of the groom are Douglas Thompson of Newport and Shelia Collier of Pikeville. He is the stepson of Alice Thompson of Newport and Randy Collier of Pikeville, the grandson of the late Ronald Sasser Jr. and Doris Sasser of Goldsboro and the late Blaney Thompson and Mary Thompson of Grantham and the stepgrandson of Jean Collier of Goldsboro.
The bride was given in marriage by her family and escorted by her father.
Erinn Williams of Gainesville, Fla., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Lewton of Vancouver, Wash., and Melissa Paz of Beaverton, Ore., sisters.
Douglas Thompson was best man. Ushers were Dustin Sasser of Greenville and Derrick Sasser of Pikeville, cousins. Groomsmen were Dean Thompson of Greenville, brother, and Ron Sasser of Pikeville, cousin.
Ragan Peterson of Portland, daughter, was the junior bridesmaid. Tate Peterson of Portland, son of the bride, was the junior groomsman.
Shaylee Paz of Beaverton was flower girl.
Presiding at the register was Susan Fulgham.
A program of wedding music was provided by Brad Collier of Greenville, pianist.
After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Fayetteville.
The bride attended Linfield School of Nursing in Oregon. She is employed as a national camps director with Cheer Ltd. Inc. of Fayetteville.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1992 and Methodist College with a bachelor of science degree in physical education and a concentration in sports management and sports medicine. He is employed as director of project development with Cheer Ltd.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Gates Four Golf and Country Club of Fayetteville.
On June 27, co-workers held a honeymoon shower at Ruby Tuesday of Fayetteville.
The groom’s stepmother and sisters held a wedding shower.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Hilltop House of Fayetteville.
