Peele-Davis
Nancy Lambert Davis and George Gregory Peele exchanged wedding vows June 6 at 4 p.m.
Pastor Steve Lawrence and Pastor Ricky Mill officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Nahunta Friends Meeting.
The bride is the daughter of the late Wayne L. Davis and Barbara Davis of Connecticut.
The groom is the son of the late Oland F. Peel and Jean Peele of Pikeville.
Escorted by her brother, Eric Davis, the bride wore a long-sleeve white satin gown with pearls and sequins. It had a train of white satin with sheer sequined inlays.
For her headpiece, she chose a two-tiered veil with a band of satin roses and pearls.
Gail Davis was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tara Peele, Katrina Townsend, JoAnne Davis, Kristen Davis and Colleen Davis.
Anthony Peele was best man. Groomsmen were David Peele, Brad Peele, Todd Moen, Jay Thornton and Shelton Edgerton.
Jane McLamb directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Andrea Medlin.
A program of wedding music was provided by Sharon Caughron, pianist, and Beth Peele and Mark Caughron, vocalists.
The couple took a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C.
The bride is employed as a teacher at Rosewood Middle School.
The groom is co-owner of Nahunta Farm Sausage.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Pikes-Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church new life center. Harry and Inez Moen greeted guests. Inez Moen was hostess. A three-tiered wedding cake decorated with fresh flowers was served.
On June 5, Jane McLamb held a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the Royal Tea Rooms.
Janet Sumner held a pig picking rehearsal dinner June 5 at Nahunta Friends Meeting.
Ladies of Nahunta and Goldsboro held a shower in May at Nahunta Friends Meeting.
Vanessa Newton held a shower in April.
