ROCKY MOUNT — Ashley Danielle Lawrence of Sandy Cross and Randall McCoy “Randy” Turner were united in holy marriage June 26 at 5:30 p.m.
The Rev. Jerry Braziel officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Rocky Mount Family Center.
The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey Alvin and Delia Smith Bone of Sandy Cross and Edward Hughes Cianfarra of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of James Walter and Annette Worrell Smith of Goldsboro, Alvin Larkin and Elsie Joyner Bone of Sandy Cross and Jerry and Jennette Baker Cantrell of Rocky Mount and the great-granddaughter of Louise B. Smith and the late Walter William Smith.
The groom is the son of Gary McCoy and Susan Lamm Turner of Sandy Cross and Mildred “Sunny” Blanchard Turner of Nashville. He is the grandson of the late Gordon Blanchard and Katie Blanchard of Rocky Mount and the late McCoy Turner and Agnes Turner of Sandy Cross.
Given in marriage by her mother and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white corset bodice with a tulle skirt accented with beaded Alencon lace motifs.
For her headpiece, she chose a pearl and rhinestone tiara with a double-layered fingertip-length veil adorned with pearls and rhinestones. She carried silk white and ivory roses accented with ivy, baby’s breath and white ribbon.
Allison Renee Turner, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenna Leigh Bone and Emily Joyce Bone, stepsisters of the bride, and Jennifer Mae Joyner, stepsister of the groom.
Gary McCoy Turner was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Cecil Thomas Williams III, Charles Eric Boone and Christopher Ray Pierce, friends of the groom.
James Walter “Trey” Smith and Frederick Tyler “Ty” Smith were junior groomsmen.
Keelin Alana Hunter was flower girl. Ethan Hunter Chapin was ring bearer.
Frances Brock Smith directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Jennifer Proctor. Shannon Bone distributed programs.
Tucker Lane Chapin was Bible bearer.
A program of wedding music was provided by Debbie Whitlark, Brenda Proctor and Cecil Williams, vocalists, and Don Williams, dj.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Sandy Cross.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and Nash Community College. She is employed as a phlebotomist with Nash General Hospital.
The groom graduated from Southern Nash High School in 1996 and Nash Community College. He is employed as an emergency medical dispatcher with Wilson County 911.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rocky Mount Family Center.
The bride’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 25 at Rocky Mount Family Center. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
On June 25, a bridal luncheon was held at Fenner of the Falls of Rocky Mount. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.
Emily and Jena Bone, stepsisters of the bride, held a lingerie shower June 5 at the home of the bride’s mother.
On May 15, Jennifer Smith, Dorothy Chapin and Wendy Hunter, aunts of the bride; Eliane Best, great-aunt of the bride; and Annette Smith, grandmother of the bride, held a miscellaneous shower at Hood Swamp Friends fellowship hall.
The bride’s mother held a Pampered Chef Shower March 13 at her home.
