Mr. and Mrs. Waters

Sandra Denise Durham and Gregory Kent Waters of Goldsboro were united in marriage May 29 at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Bill Wilson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the Lord’s Table Church.

Parents of the bride are Devon and Doris Ward of Goldsboro and the late Bernice Ward.

Juanita Shiver and the late Frank D. Waters are parents of the groom.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight satin with an overlay of silk illusion and lace adorned with pearls and sequins. The A-line skirt flowed into a semi-cathedral-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a comb adorned with satin flowers and pearls attached to a two-tiered veil of silk illusion scattered with seed pearls. She carried a hand-tied clutch of buttercream roses and pink and lavender hydrangeas.

Sheena Ward, daughter of the bride, was maid of honor. Honorary bridesmaids were Kristen Waters and Jennifer Waters, daughters of the groom.

Mitch Ham was his friend’s best man. Christopher Ramsey, friend of the couple, was the usher.

Taniqua Howell, friend of the couple, was flower girl.

Jo Ellen Ham directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Mandy Ramsey. Denise Stevens and Jacey Stevens distributed programs.

Sheena Ward read a poem.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jennifer Heim, violinist, and Estine Wilson, pianist.

The couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a graduate of Goldsboro High School. She is employed by Cedar Grove group homes.

The groom graduated from Wayne Country Day School. He attended Mount Olive College and Berkley School of Music of Massachusetts. He is employed by Rack Room Shoes.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church dining hall. Jo Ellen Ham and Karen Malcolm poured punch and cut the wedding cake. Mandy Ramsey greeted guests. Denise Stevens distributed bubbles.

On May 28, rehearsal dinner was held at Logan’s Steakhouse.
