Jones - Rouse
SEVEN SPRINGS — Chrystal Jean Rouse and Jamie Duane Jones exchanged vows May 8 at 7 p.m.
The Rev. Ashley Summerlin officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.
Gene and Scarlette Rouse of Seven Springs are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Buren Rouse, Betsy Rouse and Sidney and Pearl Price of Seven Springs.
Parents of the groom are Brenda Jones and Andrew and Pauline Jones of Kinston. He is the grandson of the late Andrew and Lula Jones, the late James Pearce and Isabel Pearce Barwick of Kinston.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Marian Kennedy, niece of the bride, was matron of honor. Beth Kennedy, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Andy Jones was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Chris Jones, brother of the groom, and Dexter Rouse, brother of the bride.
Brice Jones, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Reese Jones, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Melanie Harper, cousin of the bride, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Chancey Thompson, cousin of the bride.
After a wedding trip to the mountains, the couple is residing in Kinston.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of East Duplin High School.
The groom graduated from South Lenoir High School in 1994. He is employed at J&J Mechanical Inc.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents and grandparents held a reception at the home of the bride’s parents. Wanda and Courtney Simmons, friends of the bride, cut the wedding cake.
On April 24, Patricia Thompson, Tammy Sowers and Janice Stanfield held a miscellaneous shower at the Thompson home.
Bettye Benton, Pat Rouse and Sandy Rouse held a dinner and miscellaneous shower April 18 at the home of the bride’s parents.
On March 14, Pearl Price, Beverly Sutton, Belinda Price, Pam Price and JoAnn Price held a cookout and miscellaneous shower at the home of the bride’s parents.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner.
