Angela Marie Hanson and Bradley Johnson exchanged promises June 5 at 4:30 p.m.

Hunter Preston officiated at the double-ring ceremony at New Hope United Methodist Church.

William and Leona Hanson of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Ernest and Myra Hanson and the late Arthur and Nellie Shanks of Middleboro, Mass.

The groom is the son of Ura “Boots” and Joyce Howard, Alison Wood, Danny Camancho and Scot Wood of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late LaRose Baker, the late Ruth Johnson, Ura “Buddy” Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Miriam Johnson and Jimmie and Helen Wood of Goldsboro.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless natural waist ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, silver beading and silver embroidery. It had a corset bodice, a cathedral train and matte white satin.

For her headpiece, she chose a two-tiered veil with a silver rhinestone tiara. She carried a cascading bouquet of daffodils.

Angela Aguigui was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leigh Ann Collins and Elizabeth Smith.

Marcus Estremera was best man. Ushers were James Smith, Tara Garvey and Stephanie Holzkamm. Groomsmen were Eric Collins and Garland Skowronski.

Kelli Bowe was the junior bridesmaid. Christopher Wood was the junior groomsman.

Gabrielle Holzkamm was flower girl.

Dawn Kester directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Brian Hanson, brother.

A program of wedding music was provided by Shawn Franks.

After a wedding trip to Runaway Bay, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 1999 graduate of Johnston Community College with an associate’s degree in graphic design. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She is employed as a graphic designer with Nash Printing Co.

The groom graduated from Rosewood High School in 1997. He attended Johnston Community College for graphic design and fine art. He is employed as a mechanic with Wood Precision Cycles.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Enlisted Club. A three-tiered wedding cake was served.

On June 4, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Madison’s Steakhouse.

Co-workers held a luncheon and bridal shower May 28.

On May 22, the bridesmaids held a bachelorette party and lingerie shower at the home of Leona Hanson.

The groomsmen held a bachelor party May 15 in Greenville.

On April 4, the bridesmaids held a bridal shower at the home of Julie Holzkamm.
