NEW BERN — Lauren Elizabeth Adams and Robert Dred Blair of Goldsboro said their wedding vows June 12 at 6:30 p.m.
The Rev. Powell Osteen Jr. officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Centenary Methodist Church.
Dr. and Mrs. Larry Lee Adams of New Bern are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Zebulon Howard Adams and Marvin A. Stevens of Fuquay-Varina and the late Dixie Stevens.
The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. Gary Blair. He is the grandson of Judith Yelverton Scott of Goldsboro, the late Mr. and Mrs. Hobart Garrett Blair of Ocala, Fla., and the late Rudolph Hooks.
The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her father.
Katharine Adams Phelps of Chocowinity, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Rambo Adams of Atlanta, Ga., Alexandra Hanner Byrd, Ashley Allen Child, Allison Marie Pyhel and Karen Tate Crawford of Charlotte, Carrie Blair Gallo of Morehead City, Charlotte Carmichael Hallow of Goldsboro, Courtney Jerome Hanner of Raleigh and Kelly Bogosian Hawkins of New Providence, N.J.
Christopher Cole Blair of Seaside, Fla., was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Justin Lee Adams of Atlanta, Christopher Michael Beck, Michael Edwin Best, Jeffrey Todd Denton, Nicholas Ulysses Gambella and George Jeffrey Hallow of Goldsboro, Thomas Eugene Gallo of Morehead City, Torrey Alan Phelps of Chocowinity and Thomas Elbert Powers Jr. of New Bern.
August Gabriel Beck of Goldsboro, goddaughter of the groom, was flower girl. Heath Rayburn Byrd of Charlotte, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Betty Griffin directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Emily Nelson. Amy Jones, Lisa Roark and Melissa Allan distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Linda Jones, organist, and Dan Jones, trumpeter.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy and Elon College. She is employed as a senior diagnostic representative with Bracco Diagnostics Inc.
The groom graduated from Wayne Country Day School and East Carolina University. He is employed as a territory sales manager with Best and Langston.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at the home of the bride’s parents.
The groom’s mother and family held a rehearsal dinner and dance June 11 at New Bern Golf and Country Club.
On June 11, friends of the bride’s parents held a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the home of Dr. and Mrs. David Oliver of New Bern.
Friends of the bride’s parents held a lawn and garden shower May 22 at New Bern Golf and Country Club.
On April 24, family of the groom held a dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marm of Fremont.
Family of the bride held a dinner party April 17 at Sullivans Restaurant of Raleigh.
On April 3, friends of the couple held an engagement party at Walnut Creek Country Club.
