Hatch-Wise
GRANTHAM — Jennifer Nicole Wise became the bride of Rex Eugene Hatch Feb. 21 at 3 p.m.
Frank Purvis officiated at the ceremony at Eureka Christian Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Dwight Wise of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wise and Alma Wise of Mount Olive, the late Arlon Wise and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Daughtry.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Tex Tillman Hatch of Mount Olive. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hatch and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lem Bell.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a beaded and corded halter neckline and beads and sequins along the empire waistline, the back of the V-back and inside the inverted chapel-length train. It had matte satin-covered buttons down the back and at the top of the train.
For her headpiece, she chose a pearl tiara accented with marquise and round rhinestones with a white elbow-length veil accented with rhinestones and a satin corded edge. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white Akito roses with stephanotis and sprengeri fern.
Allison Sullivan of Seven Springs, friend of the couple, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Jo Brock of Snow Hill and Michelle Green of Mount Olive, friends of the bride, and Heather Smith of Seven Springs, friend of the couple.
Rex T. Hatch was best man. Groomsmen were Adam Wise of Grantham, brother of the bride, and Wade Sullivan of Seven Springs and Dave Gibson of Wilmington, friends of the couple.
Sarah Richards was flower girl. Chase Horton was ring bearer.
Brenda Williams directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register were Lesli Darden and Hope Willoughby. Lauren Darden and Jacob Richards distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist, and Jane Shattuck, vocalist.
The couple will reside in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2000 graduate of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. She is employed as a pharmacy technician with Wayne Pharmacy.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1995 and Mount Olive College in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice. He is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor society. He is employed with safety and loss prevention with Lowe’s.
A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents.
