DUDLEY — Patricia Renee’ Brogden became the bride of Paul Ray Hansen of Goldsboro Feb. 14 at 3 p.m.

Johnny Sasser officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Emmaus Baptist Church.

Ed and Eleanor Brogden of Goldsboro are parents of the bride.

Carl and Marilyn Hansen of Humboldt, Iowa, are parents of the groom.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a chiffon empire waist gown embellished with beaded lace trim and long sleeves.

For her headpiece, she chose a headband accented with pearls and rhinestones with a chiffon fingertip veil.

Kelly Edwards, niece of the bride, was maid of honor.

Jamie Webb was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Mike Brock, brother-in-law of the bride, and Thurman Brogden, brother of the bride.

Taylor Brock, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Kendall Edwards, nephew of the bride, was the junior groomsman.

Emily Brock, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Adam and Jeremy Brogden, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers.

Presiding at the register were David and Barbara Vaulken, friends of the bride. Jennifer Holland, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Verna Daye, friend of the couple, vocalist.

Dianne Brock, sister of the bride, was prayer reader.

After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1989 graduate of Goldsboro High School. She is employed at Wal-Mart.

The groom graduated from Humboldt High School in 1983. He is employed with Nabisco.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Thelma Isler and Kathy Mullis served the wedding cake. Vernice Moore and Margaret Hardin poured punch.

On Jan. 16, Bessie Wooten and Gloria Braswell, co-workers of the bride held a miscellaneous shower at Wal-Mart.

Dianne Brock and Gail Edwards, sisters of the bride, held a miscellaneous shower Jan. 11 at the Brock home.

On Dec. 14, Kathy Mullis, friend of the bride, held a Christmas shower at her home in Mount Olive.
