Willa Pelletier Gray, 88, LaGrange, peacefully passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018.
Willa was born De. 11, 1929, in Lenoir County to the late William Thomas Pelletier and Cora Hughes Pelletier.
Willa was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roy Gray.
Willa worked as an LPN with Wayne Memorial Hospital, and later worked as a private duty nurse.
A service to celebrate Willa’s life will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Gray Family Cemetery, Parkstown Road, LaGrange.
Willa is survived by two sons, Royce Gray and his wife, Bonnie, and Randy Gray and Evangeline Combs; four beloved grandchildren, Daniel Gray and his wife, Summer, Ashley G. Lauterbach and her husband, Andy, Erica Gray and Jeffrey Gray; two great-grandchildren, Coleman Gray Lauterbach and June Elizabeth Lauterbach; and five sisters, Linda Goodwin, Sarah Woodard, Cora Hope Edwards, Julia Daniels and Katrine Wade.
In addition to her parents and husband, Willa was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Sutton and Peggy Anderson, and a brother, Bobby Pelletier.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times, the family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Royce Gray, 513 Parkstown Road, LaGrange.
Willa’s family would like to extend a special thank you her caregivers, Roberta Shepherd, Pauline Parks, Ethel Becton and Loretta Lewis for the wonderful care they provided. Words don’t begin to express our gratitude.
