Johnnie Charles Mobley, 62, Goldsboro, passed away Saturday at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Johnnie was born July 9, 1956, in Norfolk, Va., to the late Alton Bruce Mobley and Margaret Edwards Mobley.
He will be remembered for his great love of cars, food, music and sports, especially the University of North Carolina Tarheels.
A service to remember Johnnie will be Thursday, July 26, at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home chapel.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Johnnie is survived by his sisters, Sheila Custer and husband, Ricky, and Penny Wiggs and husband, Steve; nieces and nephew, Gail Pierce and husband, Dwayne, Sarah Merrill and husband, Ryan, Liz Bottarro and husband, Adrian, and Matthew Wiggs and wife, Stephanie; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Mobley Hobbs.
