JESSE HENDERSON HOLMES

Jesse Henderson Holmes, 87, Mount Olive, passed away Sunday at the Brian Center.
He was the son of the late Edwin and Eliza Louise Holmes and the widower of Hazel Lewis Holmes.
Mr. Holmes was a retired sales clerk for the North Carolina ABC Board.
He attended Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the mausoleum chapel of Wayne Memorial Park, with Rev. Jeff Dail officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Holmes is survived by his children, Ray Holmes of Goldsboro, Jesse Thomas Holmes of Atlanta, Robert Holmes of Mount Olive, and Dawn Mason of LaGrange; a brother, Edwin Holmes, Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, a daughter, Pam Pate preceded him in death.
