Elouise Bowden Artis, 88, 424 Bowden Road, died June 29 at Goldsboro Assisted Living.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Chuch, with the Rev. John Fuller Jr. officiating and Dr. Arnold B. Coley as eulogist. Burial will be in Bowden Family Cemetery.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Sr. and Martha Grantham Bowden.
Visitation will be 3 to 6 tonight at Garris Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends at the home of Cleo Bowden, 368 Bowden Road, Mount Olive, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
