Billie Jean Walker Pruett, 84, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, at her home.
Billie Jean was born in Ashe County to Hege Vernon and Margaret Parsons Walker.
She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church.
Billie Jean graduated from Fleetwood High School in Ashe County and Draughon College in Winston-Salem.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Seymour Funeral Home chapel, with Dr. Randy Outland officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
She was married for 59 years to William Kelly Pruett, and is survived by their beloved family, daughter, Margaret Malinda Hardy and husband, Phil; son, Bill Pruett Jr. and fianceé, Lia; grandson, Phillip Hardy Jr. and wife, Karsan; granddaughter, Emily Barbour and husband, Justin, and their daughter Ellie Walker Barbour, who is due in November.
She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Walker Barnette and husband, Kenneth.
