Jarvis "Kojack" Lavan Sullivan Sr., 82, Goldsboro, passed away at his home May 16, 2018.
He was born to the late Albert and Ora Sullivan May 16, 1936.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother; a sister, Nora Blackman; and two grandsons, Walton Lee Sullivan and Albert Daniel Edwards.
A memorial service will be held at Casey Funeral Home chapel Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 7 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Sullivan Family Cemetery in Selma.
Mr. Sullivan was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
He was a big Duke Blue Devils fan, and graduated from Selma High School.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sullivan; seven children, Lenora Sullivan of Rosewood, Lavan and Nancy Sullivan of Bunn, Tammie Fail and fiancé, Trent Norris, of Rosewood, Loretta Colie and partner, Richard Nash, of Goldsboro, Frank and Judy Cowan of Virginia, Ellen and Mark Handy of Elon and Marie and Don McMullen of Goldsboro; sister, Elsie Sellers of Smithfield; brother-in-law, Noah Blackman; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Casey Funeral Home chapel.
