Nicolette "Nikki" Rhea Nelson, 37, Pink Hill, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born in Wayne County March 6, 1981, to the late Sheila Marie Nelson.
A service celebrating Nicolette’s life will be held Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home in Pink Hill.
Interment will be Monday, May 7, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. in Kearney Family Cemetery.
After the death of her mother, Nikki was raised by her aunt, Rene Savage and husband, Del, of Pikeville, and was loved as one of her own.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelsea Lanier; son, Gavin Jones; brothers, Jason Brogden, Cody Brogden and Stephen Brogden; niece and nephews, Tyler, Rebekah, Grayson and Carter Brogden; aunts, Jerri Mozingo of Goldsboro, Kay Bailey of LaGrange, Annette Stevens and husband, Chris, of Goldsboro, Brenda Taylor of Raleigh, Frances Parrish of Goldsboro and Shelby Thornton of Goldsboro; and uncles, Ray Nelson of Goldsboro, Ronald Parrish and wife Connie of Goldsboro, Jim Parrish and wife, Sally, of Texas, and Jamie Bailey and wife, Debbie, of Goldsboro.
She is also survived by the father of her daughter, Tony Lanier; stepson, T.J. Lanier and wif,e Kristina; stepdaughter, Sonya Carter and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Summer, Savannah, William and Noah; as well as several cousins and friends whom she loved very much.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Polly Parrish. and sister, Kristen Brogden.
Nikki’s fiancé, David Jones, was also killed in the automobile accident Wednesday.
