STEPHEN R. PATE
Jan. 27, 1929-March 12, 2018
Mr. Stephen R. "Dink" Pate, 89, resident of the Rones Chapel community, Mount Olive, passed away peacefully Monday night, March 12, 2018, at his home with his immediate family by his side.
Mr. Pate had been a farmer, and had been employed at Burlington Industries in the maintenance division.
He was a member of Long Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Kelvin Coates, with visitation following. Burial will be Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Pate is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn P. and Dero Burroughs; granddaughter, Brandi B. Hamm and husband, Peedee; great-granddaughter, Maddox Hamm all of the Rones Chapel community; brothers-in-law, Elton Ray Davis and wife, Teresa, and Mike Davis and wife, Bernice, all of Mount Olive; and a special friend, Shelby W. Powell of Mount Olive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lina Belle Davis Pate; a son, Dwight Stephen Pate; his parents, Austin and Bessie M. Pate; his in-laws, Bud and Carrie Davis; and other family members to include Judy Davis and Emily and Gurman Hall.
