Bertha Christine Wells Massey, 84, Princeton, passed away at her home Thursday, March 8, 2018.
She was born April 16, 1933, and was the daughter of Raymond Eugene and Mamie Pearl Sullivan Wells. She was the widow of Patrick Rufus Massey.
She was also preceded in death by two children, Raymond and Patrick Jr. Massey, and a son-in-law, J.D. Gurley.
The funeral service will be conducted Monday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Dwayne Batten and the Rev. Donald Ray Massey officiating. Burial will be in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will begin to receive friends Monday, March 12, at 6 to 7 p.m. and immediately following the service at Casey Funeral Home. At other times, at her home Saturday, March 10, from 1 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 11, from 1 to 6 p.m.
She is survived by one son, Edward Wells and wife, Kathryn, of Princeton; one daughter, Ann Massey Gurley of Kenly; two grandchildren, Melissa Gurley Honeycutt and Toni Gurley Barbee; four great-grandchildren, Keri Holland, Kolby Holland, Dylan Barbee and Alison Barbee; and one great-great-grandson, Chandler Moore
