MARIE W. GREGORY

Virginia Marie Westbrook Gregory, 80, passed away Sunday at Wayne UNC Health Care. She is the daughter of the late Marion and Jenny Westbrook, and is the wife of Cecil Matthew Gregory. Mrs. Gregory was a loving mother and friend. She loved spending time with family, friends and her little dog, Precious.
A funeral service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Purvis officiating. Committal services will be held at Wayne Memorial Park on Thursday at 11 a.m. Family members will greet friends immediately following the funeral service.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gregory is survived by two sons, Phillip Gregory and wife, Terry of Mount Olive and Carroll Gregory and wife, Ann of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a niece, Brenda Gregory of Newton Grove; and a friend, Dean Harris of Mount Olive.
Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Lee Gregory.
