HAROLD D. COUNTRYMAN JR.

Harold David Countryman Jr., 76, 2615 Hill Circle, died Monday morning UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center.
Born in Little Falls, N.Y., he was the son of the late Harold David and Doris Vanslyke Countryman.
A member of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro, he served with Handyman Ministries.
He also was a 30-year member of Goldsboro Masonic Lodge No. 634, serving as a tyler.
Harold enjoyed coaching his daughter, Heather, with the Wayne County Special Olympics for the aquatics, equestrian and bowling teams.
A memorial service with Masonic Rites will be held Friday, Jan. 19, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating.
The family will visit with family and friends prior to the service in the church fellowship hall at 3 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna A. Countryman; sons, David Harold Countryman and wife, Brenda, and Dean Charles Countryman and fianceé, Shannon Whiteman, all of St. Johnsville, N.Y.; daughters, Debbie Countryman of St. Johnsville, N.Y., and Heather Pardue of Goldsboro, N.C.; sisters, Elizabeth Rockefeller and Doris Countryman both of Goldsboro; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Brown.
