Charles Aaron Mitchell, 66, Princeton, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
Charles was born in Wayne County May 20, 1951, to the late Aaron Guy Mitchell and Louise Fields Mitchell.
He had worked many years with his brother, Jimmy Mitchell, as a driver with Mitchell Wrecker Service.
Charles later worked with Wayne County Recycling.
He had a wonderful sense of humor, and never took himself too seriously.
Charles was a good friend, and never knew a stranger.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. in Mitchell Cemetery on Nahunta Road in Pikeville, with the Rev. Rose Hicks officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Charles is survived by is his niece, Michelle M. West and husband, Chip, of Princeton, and a great-niece, Hannah West.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Mitchell; sister-in-law, Reba Mitchell; and his fianceé, Mary Wagner.
