Thelma Head Worrell Davis, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.
A homegoing service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro, with visitation afterward.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
Mrs. Davis was born in Wayne County April 7, 1934, to the late William Berry Head and Beulah Chase Head.
She was retired from Cherry Hospital.
Mrs. Davis was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goldsboro.
She is survived by her son, Danny Ray Worrell of Princeton; five daughters, Shelia Gayle Worrell of Georgia, Martha Sue Massey and husband, Jeff Massey, Alicia Louise Jones and husband, Tom Jones, Nancy Deanne West and Sara Dawn Davis all of Goldsboro; two sisters, Joyce Newcomb and Barbara Dawson both of Goldsboro; 23 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaFayette Davis; her brothers Linwood Head, Pete Head and Milton Head; her sister, Gladys Mason; and granddaughters, Kellie Jones and Lacey Barrow.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
