Funeral, with military honors, was Saturday at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born in New York, N.Y., on Dec. 31, 1929, to Mary Howard and Willie James. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dees Howard; a daughter; and a son.
