Helen Christine Blackman McCullen, 100, passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at her home.
She was born April 2, 1917, to the late Joel Carson Blackman and Bertha Mable (Mae) Barber McCullen.
She was also preceded in death by sons, Ralph Edward McCullen, Bobby Ray McCullen, Billy Gene McCullen and Linwood Earl McCullen; brother, Willie W. Blackman; son-in-law, David Lawhon; and a grandson, David Lawhon (Davey).
Funeral services will be held at Riverside Free Will Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and Rev. Kevin Phillips officiating.
Burial will take place immediately following the service in Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Carson McCullen of Goldsboro; daughters and son-in-law, Annie Ruth Pearce (Leamon) of Goldsboro, and Dorothy Lee Lawhon of Goldsboro; daughters-in-law, Edna Jones and Penny McCullen; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
