Austin Lance Lancaster, 14, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, June 29, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont and other times at the home of his paternal grandparents, 3999 U.S. 117 North.
A service to celebrate Austin's life will be held Friday, June 30, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Pate-Lancaster Cemetery in Pikeville.
Austin was born in Wilson County March 6, 2003, to Nickolas Lancaster and Rebecca Bottino.
He attended Grantham Middle School.
In addition to his father, Nickolas Lancaster, and stepmom, Juliana Surratt, both of Pikeville and mother, Rebecca Bottino, and stepdad, Marcus Thompson, of Goldsboro, he is survived by three brothers, his twin, Darren Lancaster, Dillon Lancaster and Sawyer Thompson; his sister, Estella Thompson; his paternal grandparents, Nicky and Jane Lancaster of Goldsboro; maternal grandparents, Melissa Spelling of Seven Springs and Gary Fordham of Goldsboro; and his aunt, Sherry Lancaster Shelby.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
