Alice Geraldine Stancil, 85, died Wednesday evening surrounded by her family.
Born in Nash County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Iva Mae Stancil.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Stephen Wellmen officiating.
The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church.
Geraldine is survived by her twin sister, Josephine Sutton of Goldsboro, and a brother, Albert Jasper Stancil and his wife, Betty, of Roxboro.
Other survivors include two nieces, three nephews and her special dog, Lucky.
