Lillie Mae Sykes, 97, died Tuesday at Goldsboro Assisted Living.
Graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, with pastor Mona Williamson officiating.
She was born in Wilson County June 2, 1919, to the late James and Elizabeth Atkinson Brunson. She was married to the late Willie Sykes.
She is survived by a son and a daughter.
Visitation will be 3 to 6 tonight at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, with the family present 5 to 6 p.m. The family will receive friends other times at the home of her daughter-in-law, Annie Sarah Smith Brown, 8131/2 E. Walnut St., Goldsboro.
